Darwin Devolves – Michael Behe

I find the concept of Intelligent Design to be wonderful support of my other discoveries with all the spiritual reading I am doing.

I Read Michael’s first Book Darwin’s Black Box in June 2016, This was my first introduction to Intelligent Design, and I then went and read a number of other books which support the idea of Intelligent Design.

Agni Yoga

In early March 2019 I did a weekend workshop with William Meader. At that workshop, William proposed that we should all be familiar with the writings of Master Morya, and suggested we read Agni Yoga.

Journey of Robert Monroe. From Out-of-Body Explorer to Consciousness Pioneer – Ronald Russell

This was an interesting Read. Having read the 3 books of Robert Monroe, and now following Tom Campbell, who was a scientist who worked with Robert, it was great to read about the experiences that started it all. It was a shame that towards the end of his life Robert Monroe became paranoid and did not trust the people around him and held back the development of the Monroe Institute. This book was a bit boring in places and included lots of stuff I wasn’t interested in, but it has inspired me to re-read Journeys out of the body, Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey, Robert Monroe’s 3 books.

If you, like me, read lots about Near Death Experiences, you could easily come to the conclusion that this is a new modern phenomenon, since the publication of Raymond Moody’s book Life after Life in 1975. In this great anthology “In Times of War: Messages of Wisdom from Soldiers in the Afterlife’ we hear from a number of ordinary soldiers who have experienced or who are in the afterlife and communicate with us that after death on the battle field, they are still very much alive. Stories from one of the earliest near-death experiencers, Er written in 360 BC, through stories from WW I & II and Vietnam.

Not Yet – Jeff O’Driscoll

Jeff O’Driscoll was in the ER when Jeff Olsen was brought in after his car accident. Jeff O’Driscoll had a Near-Life Experience and saw Jeff Olsen’s, recently deceased wife, Tamara’s spirit, following her husband. In this remarkable book Jeff O’Driscoll may have coined the term Near-Life Experience, as he shares with us a number of such events from over his 25 years in the emergency department.

The Vegetarian Myth – Lierre Keith

I just finished re-reading this fascinating book which I originally read many years ago. I can’t remember if it was this book which saved me from being a “Vegetarian”. My recollection of when I did my 18 months as a vegetarian is that it was before this book was published in 2009. My motivation to be a vegetarian was spiritual. I kept reading in lots of different places that to be spiritual and to be treading the spiritual paths one needed to be a vegetarian, (and a vegan was even better). My excursion into vegetarianism only lasted 18 months as my health slowly deteriorated, and my wife encouraged me to start eating meat again. She had been doing lots of reading and found that my body and blood type were not ideally suited to being a vegetarian, and that the symptoms I was having (constant tiredness, and not being able to get warm (which I still suffer from occasionally)) were all detailed as side effects of a vegetarian diet.
